Caregiver C-I

Department: Day, Swing and Night Shifts

Location: Direct Care Staff

Job Title: C-I

Reports to: C-III (CII in C-III abscence)

Type of Position: Full-time / Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Getting residents up and dressed, shower residents, provide oral care, toilet residents, resident transfers, serve meals, prepare/serve snacks 3 X daily, assist residents with eating if necessary • Check and change attends as needed, put residents to bed, shift change report, laundry, housekeeping in resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas. • C-I has direct communication with the CII or CIII.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• No prior caregiver experience is required • Demonstrated stability in work history • Positive employer references • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal history background check • Ability to successfully complete orientation and new team member training • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally • Excellent team and organizational skills

Caregiver C-II

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Pass medication 2 days per week and in the absence of the C-III • Medication and resident charting • Wound Care • Train new C-Is • Assist C-I with care giving on medication passing days • Perform caregiver tasks on days not assigned to pass medication. Caregiver duties include: getting residents up and dressed, showering residents, providing oral care • Toilet residents, transfer residents, serve meals, checking and changing attends, putting residents to bed, shift change report • Communicate with Care Managers and Shift Supervisors on resident issues • Supervise and instruct employees

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Hire, schedule and assign cook rotation • Maintain / schedules daily menus for regular and diabetic residents • Ensure resident’s dietary requirements are being achieved, addressing special dietary needs • Inventory control, by means of counting and portioning • Supervise, instruct, and train other cooks • Place orders and maintain excellent relations with vendors • Do kitchen audits, order, and special diets • Ensure all cooks have stocked their houses with daily needs, as well as, diabetic and regular snacks • Put away stock • Ensures all cooks follow daily menu • Ensures all cooks clean and maintain kitchen areas • Conduct cook audits to evaluate cook performance • Conduct kitchen audits to ensure facility is maintained and operational

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Medical aspects of admissions • Assuring all service plans are up-to-date and complete • Adherence by personnel to medical policy and procedure. • Maintenance and accuracy of all medical records • Assignment and medical training of all Caregiver II and III’s • Investigating all medical S.I.R.’s and taking appropriate actions • Delegations/Assignments of caregivers • Reporting resident care or housekeeping problems to the Assistant Administrator • Day to day medical status of residents • Supervision of all medical support staff • Maintain the schedule for all nursing staff • Daily/Monthly nursing meetings • On-call rotation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-2 years experience as a RN in a long term residential care setting. • Ability to successfully communicate with resident family, RNs, GNP, care givers and medical professionals. • Working knowledge of medical terminology. • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal history background check. • Proficiency with computer software programs including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. • Ability to problem solve. • Excellent organizational skills.
